Y12SR Practices (weekly offering- donation based)
What is Y12SR?
Y12SR is the Yoga of 12-Step Recovery.
Y12SR is an innovative mind-and-body practice that addresses addiction relapse prevention.
How does it work?
Y12SR pairs a traditional 12-step-based discussion group and a physical yoga practice
The Y12SR model addresses addiction as a physical, mental and spiritual dis-ease.
Y12SR says, “the issues live in our tissues” ... the body bears the burden of addiction, the effects get ‘stuck’ in us
Yoga’s physical practice combining breath and movement can release what’s held in our bodies
Who participates in Y12SR?
Y12SR is open to anyone and everyone dealing with addiction — their own or the addictive behavior of others.
Y12SR is an open and inclusive group. All “A’s” are welcome.
What does it cost to do Y12SR?
We do not charge to participate in Y12SR. Meetings are offered to the community by donation.
What do you do with the money that’s donated?
Donations are divided between the host facility and a non-profit serving the recovery population in our community.
A hike, but not really a hike… join us in taking a brisk walk locally within the Cascade Nature Preserve. Experience the beauty of nature in or own backyard, meditation and journaling opportunity at the end.
Free community Yoga class Saturday mornings in the Garden Room. The views from the Garden room are dreamy and set the stage for a great practice. Join us for meditation, and a practice suitable for all. Bring a mat, props (blocks, straps, yoga blanket if you have them) and a water bottle.
Practice styles are Yin and (Hatha) Vinyasa. This is not a "Power" class but you will flow.
Incense, candles and essential oils maybe used during the class. Dress in layers- the warehouse could get chilly during meditation.
Yoga classes are guided by Nia Knowles & Allison Moore.
Allison Moore teaches every second Saturday a Body Positive class:
Class description: Yoga for every body
"We’ll move, we’ll flow, and we’ll find stillness. Yoga is simultaneously individual and universal. As a community, we’ll explore what it means to adjust poses to fit our bodies rather than fit our bodies into a pose. We’ll be present without judgement and with compassion."

“Ayurveda is considered by many scholars to be the oldest healing science. In Sanskrit, Ayurveda means “The Science of Life.” Ayurvedic knowledge originated in India more than 5,000 years ago and is often called the “Mother of All Healing.” It stems from the ancient Vedic culture and was taught for many thousands of years in an oral tradition from accomplished masters to their disciples. Some of this knowledge was set to print a few thousand years ago, but much of it is inaccessible. The principles of many of the natural healing systems now familiar in the West have their roots in Ayurveda, including Homeopathy and Polarity Therapy.”
During this session we will explore the foundation of Ayurveda and learn our Dosha’s to make decisions to support nutrition and lifestyle transformation.

Equipping our teachers with tools needed for success is our greatest joy. Monday, we have the honor to bring our Mindful Yoga sessions to Harper-Archer Elementary School teachers.
Since we have a number of sessions this day, we want to ensure each session has it’s own unique opportunity to connect and reflect, experiencing the power of the practice.

This month we are exploring the topic of “Mindfulness”.
What is Mindful?
How do we apply it to our lives?
What are the benefits of being Mindful?
